Journal #32

As a seventeen year old I do not think that I have revolutionized the way people think.  If I have, no one has ever told me.  Fellowship of Christian Athletes started this Sunday and I gave the message.  It was the very first one, and I was really really hoping to revolutionize the way people saw things through this one message.   I was hoping to get things off to a really good start right at the beginning.  Everything went smoothly and frankly just as I wanted it to, but unless someone blatantly tells me that it was really awesome and hit them hard.  People told me that I did really good and they thought that it was an awesome message but they did not really tell me why or how so I'm not letting myself put much stock into it.  My way of looking at things is revolutionized on a daily basis.  This generally happens in church.  My youth leader is one of my favorite people ever, he has an intern too who is also absolutely awesome.  Both of them are very blessed with the ability to say things so that high schoolers can interpret and apply them.  Last week in bible study Josh gave us an article to read.  There was a lot of awesome stuff in the article, but one of the biggest thing was an analogy.  It said to imagine that you have a boat out on water.  You need to imagine that Christianity is your sail and God is your wind.  This was a supper great way of thinking of things because there so many different ways to interpret it into your own life.  I love critical thinking challenges.  I love contemplating things that have many different ways that you can apply them.  This completely revolutionized the way I can now view Christianity and my faith.
